Tzu-Ying (Naomi) Chan 詹子瑩

Tzu-Ying Naomi Chan, based in New York and originally from New Taipei City, Taiwan, is an independent curator, artist, writer, art educator, and designer. She holds an M.A. in Curatorial Practice from the School of Visual Arts and a B.A. in Plastic Art with a focus on oil painting from Da-Yeh University.

Chan’s curatorial work is distinguished by a deep commitment to exploring the intersections of cultural identity, environmental concerns, and social justice. Her curatorial practice is characterized by a collaborative and inclusive approach, aiming to amplify diverse voices and perspectives. She is particularly focused on fostering cross-cultural dialogue and examining the complex dynamics of relationships across cultures, generations, and between humanity and the environment.

With a multidisciplinary background spanning curatorial work, writing, art, education, and design, Chan brings a unique and nuanced perspective to the art world. Her extensive experience in Taiwan, including roles as an intern and assistant for various exhibitions, and her work as a designer and social media specialist, further enrich her approach. Chan’s practice is dedicated to creating spaces that promote meaningful dialogue and deeper understanding through innovative exhibitions and collaborations with artists from diverse backgrounds.
